Glamping is a portmanteau of ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping’.
Glamping is currently gaining attention worldwide as a new form of outdoor leisure, and Hakuba Mominoki Hotel has opened the first glamping site attached to a resort hotel in the Nagano Prefecture area!
The 2026 season begins on 2 May!
‘Mominoki Glamping’, where you can also enjoy roasting marshmallows over a stylish fire pit
A glamping area nestled in the heart of a vast natural forest. Spend a special time here, relaxing in a lounge chair or under a tarpaulin whilst enjoying a drink, or roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Guests can enjoy marshmallow roasting and log-splitting experiences free of charge. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a flying squirrel that calls this forest home.
Marshmallows roasted over a campfire taste absolutely delicious. Our staff will show you the tricks of the trade, so you can enjoy marshmallows that are crispy on the outside and melt-in-the-mouth on the inside.

For a limited time (18 July to 15 August), we are operating the ‘Fire Pit Bar’ around the bonfire. Opening hours are from 17:00 to 21:00, and we serve Hakuba craft beer (Pale Ale & IPA), wine, whisky and soft drinks (for a fee).
Grill restaurant
「The Forest Glamping and Grill」
Nestled in the woods, The Forest Glamping and Grill is a barbecue restaurant that operates by reservation only. Here, you can enjoy a barbecue featuring ingredients from the Shinshu region whilst surrounded by nature. From 18 July to 15 August, you can also order popular dishes such as Wagyu beef burgers, pizza and venison curry for a limited time only.
Shinshu produce, slowly grilled over charcoal, offers a truly exceptional flavour. Enjoying a barbecue in the woods creates a special atmosphere, accompanied by the aromatic scent of the charcoal.

‘Glamping Stay & Authentic BBQ Dinner’ Package
The special dome tent area in the woods is a private space reserved exclusively for guests. In the evening, enjoy a barbecue on your private deck, and breakfast is served in the restaurant at the Mominoki Hotel. After your meal, you can relax by the fire in your private fire pit and savour the tranquillity of the forest.
